A5 laminated notes are provided on the 'history of the pen' together with notes on 'how to fill your pen' and 'how to care for your pen'.

PARKER CHALLENGER Fountain Pen      Circa:1939   Colour: Green marbled.   Nib: 'Medium'.
A lovely feel to this pen ie smooth, solid and balanced.  The tapered clip which was introduced in 1939 is engraved : "PARKER".   A semi broad gold band around the cap.   The barrel of the pen is clearly engraved with: "PARKER CHALLENGER, Made in Canada".   Ink filling is by the button beneath the blind cap on the barrel.   The nib is 14 carat gold and writes with a 'medium' line.   The gold nib is engraved with: "PARKER FOUNTAIN PEN, 14K, CANADA, 4".  Condition is excellent.   Excellent  writer - beautifully smooth.                     Length: 5 1/4" -5 7/8".

BURNHAM Fountain Pen      Circa:1932   Colour: Blue marbled.   Nib:'Medium'.
As near mint as you can get - a stunning Burnham, in competition with Conway Stewart.  The clip has the "B" for Burnham in the circle which was used up to about 1933.   Triple gold bands signify that the pen was 'top of the range'.  Silky smooth body.   The barrel of the pen is clearly engraved with: "THE BURNHAM, British Made".   Ink filling is by the button beneath the blind cap on the barrel.   The nib is 14 carat gold and writes with a 'medium' line.   Nib is engraved with: "Burnham 14ct Gold".  Condition is near mint.   The pen writes effortlessly.   Larger than most pens.   Length: 5 3/8" -6 5/8".

Burnham is a very underrated manufacturer who competed with Conway Stewart on quality and writing proficiency  .

WYVERN ENVOY Fountain Pen      Circa:1948   Colour: Green/black pearl.   Nib:'Fine'.
This pen company started by three small boys in 1890 and lasted until 1955.   The mythical dragon ( Wyvern ) is shown on the gold clip.   A single gold band enhances the cap.  Sleek, smooth and polished body.   The barrel of the pen is engraved with: "WYVERN ENVOY, Made in England".   Ink filling is by the gold lever on the barrel.   The nib is 14 carat gold and writes with a 'fine' line. Condition is excellent.  The pen writes smoothly and gently.                                     Length: 5" - 6"                                                                                  Crafted by skilled workmen to write down thoughts.

PARKER PARCO Fountain Pen Circa:1933 Colour:Grey/black with a dash of red. Nib:'Medium'.
A good looking fountain pen made by Parker. The ball ended clip has an Art Deco design.  Two twin bands adorns the impressive looking cap. A very smooth and glossy body.  The barrel of the pen is engraved with: "PARCO, Made in Canada".  Ink filling is by the gold lever on the barrel.   The nib is 14 carat gold and writes with a 'medium' line. Condition is excellent and the pen writes tantalisingly smooth.   Length: 4 3/4" - 5 3/4".                                                 Thicker than the average pen - Well made and a good looking fountain pen.

CONWAY STEWART 12 Fountain Pen and Pencil Circa:1958 Colour:Red/gold veins. Nib:'broad'.
A lovely pen and pencil set. The clip has the engraving: "CS" on a raised diamond shape.  A gold stud tops the cap which has a single gold band.  The barrel of the pen is engraved with: "Conway Stewart 12, Made in England".  Ink filling is by the gold lever on the barrel which has the 'CS' logo.   The nib is 14 carat gold and writes with a 'broad' line. Condition is excellent and it writes with ease.         Length: 5" - 6".  The original box will be included.

PARKER 61 Fountain Pen   Circa: 1958  Colour: Gold cap/red barrel. Nib: 'Fine' To 'medium'.
With a revolutionary ink filling mechanism - a natural capillary system. The clip has a 4.5cm long arrow design. A grey pearl tops the cap which is engraved with a shield detailing its gold content. Cap is engraved with "PARKER 61". A further grey pearl decorates the barrel end.  Ink filling is by the capillary system - see further photo.   The nib is 14 carat gold and writes with a fine to medium line. Condition is excellent and it writes effortlessly. Length: 5 3/8" - 5 3/4".

PARKER DUOFOLD Fountain Pen     Circa: 1948   Colour: Executive black.  
What makes this pen interesting are the two tassles at either end.  The clip is of the arrow design which was first introduced in 1932. Cap is decorated with an Art-Deco gold band.  Trim is gold filled.  Clear imprint on barrel which reads: "PARKER DUOFOLD, Geo S Parker, REG TM".  Ink filling is by the gold push button beneath the blind cap on the barrel. The original nib reads: "PARKER, DUOFOLD, PEN, 14K, N". Solid gold 14 carat 'medium' to 'broad' nib.  Writes as a Parker should - gliding gracefully across the paper. Condition is excellent.  Length: 5 1/4" - 6 1/4"

CONKLIN Fountain Pen,  Circa 1926, Colour: Red.  During the period 1900 to 1927 Conklin
                                was one of the big four US pen manufacturers.    The gold filled
                                spring loaded clip has the wording "Conklin PAT: 05 28 '18".  The cap
                                is decorated with a single gold band. Trim is gold filled.  Clear imprint
                                on barrel which reads: "CONKLIN, Trade Mark, Toledo Ohio USA". 
                                Ink filling is by the gold lever on the barrel. The lever is engraved with:
                                "PAT Nov 17 1925". The original nib reads: "Conklin, 2, TOLEDO". 
                                Solid gold 14 carat 'medium' nib.  Condition is excellent. 
                                Superb writer.  Length: 5" - 6 1/4"

MABIE TODD BLACKBIRD Fountain Pen,  Circa 1925, Colour: Black hard rubber. On 13th
                                October 1925 Margaret Thatcher was born.  The gold filled clip is
                                detachable and has a large ball end. The cap is engraved with
                                "BLACKBIRD" around the top end. Trim is gold filled. Clear imprint onbarrel
                                which reads: "BLACKBIRD SELF FILLING PEN, MABIE TODD & CO LTD,
                                Made in England" alongside the Blackbird logo. Ink filling is by the gold
                                lever on the barrel. The original nib reads: "BLACKBIRD, 14ct, Made in
                                England, MT & Co Ltd". Solid gold 14 carat 'medium' nib.  Condition is
                                excellent.  Writes impeccably.  Length: 5 3/8" - 6 1/2"
                                 Crafted in the year Margaret Thatcher was born - 1925.

                                 pen from the inventor of the fountain pen.  Art-Deco is the appealing
                                 style of the clip which is engraved with: "WATERMAN'S". The cap is
                                 decorated with one gold band.  The barrel is engraved with:
                                 "WATERMAN'S, Made in England, 513". Ink filling is by the gold lever box
                                 on the barrel. The nib is engraved "WATERMAN'S, 14ct, W3".  Solid gold
                                 14 carat 'medium' nib. Trim is gold filled. Wonderful condition.
