The 475 was one of the most popular
models back in the 1930's. The gold clip is held in
place by a pointed black cap top. Trim is rolled gold.
The gold clip has the engraving: "CS" on a raised
diamond shape. The pen is designed not to have a band.
The clear engraving on the barrel reads: "The CONWAY
PEN, CONWAY STEWART LONDON, No. 475". Ink filling is by
the gold lever ( which also has the CS logo ) on the
barrel. The nib is engraved with: "Conway, Stewart,
14ct GOLD". Solid gold 14 carat 'medium' nib. Condition
is excellent. Smooth writer. Length: 5 1/8" - 6 1/2"
Conway Stewart writes as a good friend should - gentle,
true and dedicated. |
