A
beautiful and charming fountain pen from the 1930's. The gold clip
has the raised diamond mount on which is the CS logo. The cap is
adorned with the three gold bands ( two narrow bands
surrounding a medium band). The clear imprint on barrel reads:
"The Conway Stewart, No. 55" with "Made in England" around the
barrel. Ink filling is by the gold lever on the barrel. On the
lever paddle is a further engraving of "CS". The original nib
reads: "Conway, Stewart, 14ct GOLD". Solid gold 14 carat 'fine'
nib. Trim is rolled gold. The pen glides over the paper.
Condition is excellent. Length: 5 1/8" - 6 1/2"
